Partnering With Parents

Welcome to SBU! We know choosing a college is one of the biggest decisions an individual will make, and as a parent, you play a vital role in your student’s decision.

For some of you, this may be your first experience interacting with colleges and others of you may have gone through this process several times already. Wherever you may fall along this spectrum, our caring admissions staff wants to be there for you in any way we can. We know you have questions and concerns, and we will do our best to answer in a timely and considerate manner.

We value each and every family with whom we are blessed to interact, and we want you to be confident that your student will continue to have that same experience once they step foot on campus for classes.

Our ultimate goal is to continue the work you have already started with your student and to aid him or her in growing spiritually, socially and intellectually while at SBU. We want to prepare your student to be a servant leader in the global society we live in today. Our prayer is that when they leave the doors of SBU, they will have a strong desire to fulfill the Great Commission in whatever career path the Lord directs them.
